In the cyber world, a friend finally decided to be hip and started her blog (catching up on her past posts now), some friends killed theirs, and another still can't decide if she wanna be spurty or a shoutmate... Make up your mind, Miss You-know-who-you-are.
In real world, ermmm... I dunno. I lost touch with the world, remember? Haha. Anyway from the bits and pieces I picked up here and there, I think most of my usual guy friends have all found love individually and gone MIA?? Hah. Very interested to hear about their Shanghai trip which is next month I think. Anyway, still I'm happy for them. They should all go find themselves a partner a long time ago :)
Updating my own life lately... hmmm.. nothing much but work. 24/7 round the clock. Yes, it's that time of the year again. Missing loads in action. Keep hearing Spacedonut, the suspected full-time air stewardess going overseas for holidays again. And again. And again. Making me so jealous and suspicious if the rival firm is really paying so much more for doing so much less?
With my firm expanding at this crazy speed, some sort of restructuring has been going on recently. And with many of my friends (in fact I should say most of them are) leaving the firm by end of the year, it seems that I'm the only most affected person by this whole regrouping thingy. I was in such a big dilemma the last few days.
Dilemma A: To stay in the existing group but in future you've got to work for totally new bosses and some you've heard to be difficult to work with. And you've no idea what their styles are. Other than the people at the top, you're perfectly very fine with the rest of the people in the group. Very well-staffed too. People are requesting to transfer to this group.
Dilemma B: To jump to another group with a more than familiar direct boss whom you've gone through wars with. You're familiar with some people at the top too. But you'll also face other potential direct bosses whom are undoubtedly the most notoriously difficult people to work with. A seemingly under-staff group with seemingly all the outcasts of the firm. Well, you could guess its popularity rating when people are threatening to quit if they can't transfer out of this group.
Faced with such dilemma, it's almost like all the hypothetical questions that I enjoy posing to my friends suddenly came true and throwing straight to my face, forcing me to make a sound decision. How how how? Which one would you choose? Arrgh! Karma. The trick in answering all my hypothetical questions (friends, please note, especially Miss To) is to always choose the apparently worse-off option as the better option always comes with a hidden even more worse-off situation which would only be revealed in part 2 of the question. Hah, so you guess it. I chose B. Not that I really think that something worse off is hidden in A, sigh.. it's difficult to explain. In short, it's difficult not to be obliging to the person who taught you the ropes.
Much things happen in the office than in my own life. Can't wait for the
