The rest of the day, you could guess it, Detective Wong, Tern and Chan had to charge their time to Investigation. It's so affecting that we could hardly do any work. Spent the rest of the afternoon watching the CCTV re-enactments caught on all the possible cameras in attempt to identify Mr GLT. We also had the chance to walk around the office, checking out if there’s any tall and good-looking guys in office we haven’t noticed before. Haha. We had to as Mr GLT was labelled unfamiliar by victim. Moreover the department is too mobile and big (taking up about 2.5 levels of the office building) that it's like we would easily bump into at least one new face every time we make a trip to the loo from our cubicle. It's hard to have seen and remember everyone.
We watched almost the whole episode: how Mr GLT entered the 31st floor office by tailing behind 2 male colleagues... how he tried to check out the most secluded area of 31st floor and then pretended looking at his mobile phone... how he literally ran off through the office common area in the front of a row of unsuspecting staff hard at work... and finally how he then escaped via the 30th floor main entrance by simply pressing the exit button. Woohoo~! All within 10 minutes. Swift and cool. Either our firm has not invested in the best technologies, or CSI has been deceptive to its audience, the CCTV was not what we were trained to think it was on TV. Despite being able to watch almost every action Mr GLT made, only one of the cameras actually managed to capture his good-looking face. But the one that did, it was no other than a blurry image. Can't even see a single feature on his face, how to confirm if he's really good-looking! How unlucky victim or how lucky thief, you tell me.
The security should also start thinking about repositioning the cameras. The angles are all so odd. Full of blind-spots, wrong angles, blurry images... and the ones that belong to the building management, arggh! *fainted*
Till today nobody knows if Mr GLT is a staff or not and he remains scot-free. But one thing for sure, he has been to our office. He knows where the internal staircase is. It just makes people shudder at the thought that how such things could happen so easily and blatantly during office hours. Imagine working late at night all alone? Definitely going to tell the bosses that it's really not a good idea to work late. Hah!
