Cheap Hong Kong dim sum at a tiny little stall at Sunshine Plaza last Saturday with the usual makan kakis. Just like those stalls that sell kopi, teh, chwee kueh, baos, etc at Raffles Place Arcade or International Plaza - with a few little foldable tables that are only big enough for 4 persons each and plastic stools placed around the stall and it's open for business. For the first time, I tried 炖奶 in almond and ginger flavour. Not too bad, tasted like sweet steamed tofu. No 奶味at all.
Bcos it was the first time we met for early dinner (at 6pm), we had more food at the halal coffeeshop opposite Bugis Junction, near Tan Quee Lan St after a couple of hours later... And then more again at this 记得吃 dessert place which is opened by Jaslyn Tay apparently. Quite a variety of chinese desserts, and they actually serve this sticky water chestnut with egg dessert which I thought had long extinct. Happiness :) However they serve no Orh-Ni. Sorry Tyre, Orh-Ni is fattening lah.
Overall the food was all so-so but very affordable. Satisfying meals with no damage done to our wallets and purses :)
